Beet explosion

Yesterday we had beets and Charlotte was especially messy. It was all over the place! Feeding is becoming more exciting.

Good Halloween Morning!

In celebration of Halloween this morning we wore pumpkin bibs for breakfast. This was greeted with many smiles and happy noises. We also tried yogurt for the first time. They liked it pretty well.

Cheerios Everywhere!

Can you spot the cheerio that got away? Both girls are getting better at picking up the cereal, but getting it into their mouths is still a challenge. John's parents and grandma got here safely this afternoon and have been marveling at how much the girls have changed.

Doctors Appointment and Puffs

Today we had our six month doctors appointment. It went well. Dr. Sluis seemed pleased with how they are doing. We got lots of good advice for eating, sleeping and development in the next couple of months. Charlotte weighs 18lbs 3oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. Emma is 17lbs 6oz and 26 1/4 inches long. The doctor said it was ok to try giving them little puff cereal for them to try and pick up. That is what they were doing in this picture. They didn't really like how they tasted.

We tried beets, and we liked them!

               

Here is the aftermath of the first beet feeding. It was messy but they really seemed to like them. It has been a rough few days with the girls not sleeping well at night. I think it is due to a combination of teething and being more hungry.

We like peas!

Here is the aftermath of lunch today. They enjoyed eating peas today, and had two very good naps. We are looking forward to spending time with John this weekend.

Emma's Second Bite

Here is Emma taking her second bite ever of rice cereal. We fed the girls food for the first time today. As you can see, Emma was not a huge fan. Charlotte liked it a bit better.
