Waking Up

Here is Charlotte as she is waking up from a nap. She likes to chew on her pacifiers, which is what she has in her mouth. She has one tooth that popped through last weekend. 

We tried beets, and we liked them!

               

Here is the aftermath of the first beet feeding. It was messy but they really seemed to like them. It has been a rough few days with the girls not sleeping well at night. I think it is due to a combination of teething and being more hungry.

Outside time

It is actually a nice day here today.  It has been a while since we have had one of those. Charlotte and Emma enjoyed some time outside today. Charlotte felt grass for the first time.

We like peas!

Here is the aftermath of lunch today. They enjoyed eating peas today, and had two very good naps. We are looking forward to spending time with John this weekend.

Playing

Here is how we have spent the afternoon, busy playing. We had two very good naps today, so we are all in pretty good moods. We also went for a walk this morning, had our breakfast oatmeal, ate peas, carrots and sweet potatoes for lunch, and read books. All in all a busy day.

We miss Grammy!!!

My mom left a couple of days ago and it has been hard without her here.  We all miss her very much, as evident in this photo.

Here is Charlotte working on pulling up on all fours. John said it looked like she four wheel drove onto the pillow. We wonder if she will start crawling soon.  She loves to roll onto her belly.

Serious Emma

We had a busy day with church and the grocery store. Here is Emma playing and waiting for the thistle and shamrock to come on the radio.

My mom took this picture of the girls and I in our big chair. Emma actually is getting more hair but it does not show up in pictures well because it is so light, and Charlotte has actually lost a lot of hair since she was born.

Hello!

Here are Charlotte and Emma wearing outfits from aunt Liz. I think they look pretty cute. Charlotte has been blowing raspberries a lot and Emma is really working on sitting up.

Emma's Teeth

Here are one small girls' first two teeth. She was pretty grumpy today. We are hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Emma's Second Bite

Here is Emma taking her second bite ever of rice cereal. We fed the girls food for the first time today. As you can see, Emma was not a huge fan. Charlotte liked it a bit better.

Silly Charlotte

Here is a silly picture of Charlotte. We had a pretty good day today. The girls napped well and I love spending time with mom. Emma rolled over today for the first time. That is exciting.

Five months old

Here are the girls doing tummy time together. They are five months old today. Both girls are working on teeth, so they have been a little more cranky.

Amelia made these signs to help the girls send my dad a message. We dressed them up in cute outfits.  I hope he gets the message because we would love a visit!

Fun with cousin Amelia

Here are the girls with "Auntie" Amelia. We are having a great visit. I am so thankful that they were able to come down and visit.  She and her mother drove down for the weekend and surprised my mom who is also visiting.  It is wonderful having the house full of people that I love.  The girls love all of the extra attention also.

Two happy girls

Here are two happy girls. We have had a pretty good day. We took some flowers over to a friend for her birthday. We are looking forward to seeing my mom tomorrow.

Having fun in the kitchen

Here are the girls having fun together in the kitchen while I made dinner. While they don't actually "talk" to each other or anything, they do enjoy being close. We have moved upstairs and it is working well with the girls having their own space.  They enjoy being in their own room and cribs.

Good morning

Here is Charlotte waking up this morning. I actually found her on her stomach, but this is how she was once I rolled her over. The cribs my dad put together are working great.
